The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service stage produced for intervention activities a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In SRD this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
